The 2008 Mumbai
attacks (often referred to as November 26 or 26/11)
were more than 10 coordinated shooting and bombing
attacks across Mumbai, India's largest city, by
terrorists who invaded from Pakistani seawaters. The
attacks began on 26 November 2008 and lasted until 29
November, killing 170 people and wounding at least
308. Nine of the terrorists
were also killed.

the Taj Mahal Palace
Hotel, Oberoi Trident
Hotel, the Nariman
House, home of the
Orthodox Jewish group
- "Chabad Lubavitch",
a train station, movie
theater complex, a
hospital and a
restaurant. But the
maximum damage was
done at Taj Mahal
Hotel. Among 170 people who died in the terrorist
attacks, 32 people died at Hotel Taj Mahal alone. 15
dead bodies were found in a Single Taj Room. |
