Shares hits new lows as Sensex dips

We had predicted that  "BSE Sensex can witness a sudden upsurge from 13th December 1996 for a very short time, till Christmas holidays". Market was totally gloomy (see the news below) in the first week of December and our prediction (made one month ahead) of sudden upsurge from 13th Dec.'96 was against anticipations of all stock analysts who were expecting new bottoms for the Sensex in the coming weeks.
"Business Standard" dated 5th Dec.1996 reported market anticipations as follows:
"Shares hit new lows as Sensex dips 52 points."
It hits 2745.06 figure on 4th Dec. According to analysts at UTI Securities - "the Sensex is expected to touch 2600 within the forthcoming settlement."
