| I was looking at both the "Panch-pakshi" and the "Chaughadia" reports. The two reports are difficult to reconcile and work out a good time. What is a good time in Panch-pakshi is quite often unfavorable in the Chaughadia report.

The Panch-pakshi system is very powerful and quite self-sufficient in itself while determining your "intra-day strengths". The system is specially very useful in competitive environment (like games, negotiations, gambling etc.). It is also very useful in ascertaining the best timings for taking a vital decision. While you are in "Ruling-ruling" state, you are in commanding position and best of your mental state.
As far as "Chaughadia" is concerned, it is used in electional astrology ("Muhurta") and it is common for all, (unlike Panch-pakshi which is individual's birth-data based). Good Chaughadias are considered auspicious to start journeys or a new venture, and vice-versa. It does not show one's strength at that time. Thus, the usage of Chaughadia and panch-pakshi are altogether different.
However, if a good Chaughadia coincides with your "Ruling-Ruling" or "Ruling-Eating" period in Panch-pakshi report, and you are "starting" some new work or journey during that time frame, it would be a "Super-best" situation.
BUT, if there is conflict between good/Bad timings shown by Chaughdia, my suggestions are as follows:

If you need to take a vital decision or you are in a competitive game or amidst an important negotiation, you should try to choose your "Ruling-Ruling" or "Ruling-Eating" period, ignoring Chaughadias. During such time slots, you are much in commanding position. The Chaughadia is of no use during those moments.
However, you should start your journey for the purpose concerned in a good Chaughadia only. |

If you are going for a medical treatment or surgery, start your journey from home in a good Chaughadia, but undergo the actual medical treatment or surgical procedure in your strong timings shown by Panch-pakshi. In your "Excellent" or "Good" marked time-slots, you are very strong and body will react positively to the treatment. The luck will also be favouring you at its best during such times. |
