Conan Mishler resides in Portland, Oregon Area, USA and is
deeply interested in Indian traditions and Vedic
astrolology. He has visited India several times. He
ordered Vjyotish index of Dow Jones for two months
only, initially. Thereafter, he placed repeat order for
another six months. After few months, enthused by the
results, he decided to place a big single order, for next
five years and also decided to do some research on past
data too. Thus, he placed a simultaneous order for past
five years also (60 months future and 60 months past,
total 120 months). This order was placed on 28th March
2008. The following mail from him was received by us on
25th April 2009 - after 13 months from placing the big
order and about 20 months after placing the initial order.
In this mail, he provided us very valuable feedbacks. We
are very thankful to him.

Dear Shyam,
I hope this letter finds you and your family healthy and
happy.
I have delayed sending you my feedback on past performance of
Vjyotish Indices for the Dow Jones because I wanted to observe
it and study it more. At this time, I can say these things
with quite some certainty about it:
1. It is indeed quite accurate in predicting changes in the
general trend. As you say in your notes on the graphical
charts, "If it were going “UP” previously, it will start a
descend from turning point date and if it was falling
previously, it may start climbing after the date of indicated
turning point. "
2. It also seems to be quite reliable in predicting the
general magnitude of Dow Jones changes. That is, if the
deviation of the Vjyotish index from zero is small, then the
Dow Jones is not likely to go "up" or "down" by any
significant amount. However, if the Vjyotish Index moves from
a period of relatively small magnitude values (positive or
negative) to a period of large magnitude values, then I
usually see the Dow Jones move into a period of higher
volatility, or in other words, higher magnitude changes.
3. I have not been able to correlate the sign of the Vjyotish
Index (positive or negative) with a positive or negative trend
in the Dow. In other words, if the Vjyotish Index is positive,
that does not seem to indicate any increased chance that the
Dow will move in the upward direction.
I will keep you informed of any more observations I make. I
still have plans to use a computer to find predictive patterns
in the Vjyotish Indices combined with other factors, but I
haven't had a chance to implement those plans yet.
One last note: This month (April) is the last month for which
I have graphical representations of the Vjyotish Indices,
which I am finding quite useful. Please alert your "Staff"
that I will be needing the next six months soon, and tell them
"hello" from Conan. Please also give my regards to Pandit-ji.
Namaste,
Conan
