The lady was
married in December 1958, at the age of 17 yrs. She have
three children till year 1966.
Then suddenly, her husband got ill and could not recover.
He died on 14th August 1967. She was widowed within less
than 9 years at the tender age of 26 years only.
It's another typical case of severe ill-effects of Mangal-dosha. |

Astrological notes: |
Though, severity
of Mangal-dosha apparently seems to be moderate (25%) in
calculation, however Mars is posited in the 7th house. I
remember an advice by Dr. Suresh Chandra Mishra, a
renowned Astrologer and author of number of books on
Astrology, when I met him personally a few years ago in
his Delhi office at Daryaganj. I wanted his opinion on
this issue.
He categorically stated that if the Mars is posited in the
7th or 8th house, no Mangal-dosha cancellation dictum
works perfectly. The ill-effects might be slightly reduced
but can not vanish altogether.
In this chart, 7th Lord Jupiter is also highly afflicted
being posited in its great enemy's house with Saturn and
aspected by 12th lord Sun.

Though, some of the astrologers (specially in Northern India) do
not consider 2nd house while checking for "Mangal-dosha",
but learned Dr. B.V. Raman and many other Jyotish scholars have
strongly advocated to consider the 2nd house too. While, the 2nd
house represents family and wealth on the one hand, it is also
the 'Marak-bhava' of self on the other hand. Through the
principle of 'BhaavatBhavam', it is also the 8th from 7th
house and thus represents the age of the spouse. If Mars is
posited in the 2nd house, it aspects the 'Saubhaagya sthaan'
or 'Mangalya sthaan' of the wife through it's 7th aspect.
Through it's 4th aspect, it afflicts the 5th house (house of
progeny) and through it's 8th aspect, it afflicts the 9th, the
most important house representing the destiny and 'Dharma' of a
person.
