Vjyotish
is complete in all respects at the moment.
Whatever I targeted to deliver to its
users in the present version, has been
incorporated.
But, as you know, programming is a
never-ending continuous process. New
thoughts and ideas keep coming to the mind
of a programmer. To make room for those
ideas in the program at a future date, the
program has some options marked as
blank for future use or ..
module under development at
several places. These blank options help to
maintain the basic flow-chart of a program
while adding new modules in future without
making many changes in the menus. A
programmer can easily add new modules at
appropriate places this way without much
fuss.
Further, at the moment, I'm not charging for
upgrades. Any body can download Vjyotish
from my site. Therefore, whenever I release
a new version, you can always upgrade by
simply downloading the newer version from my
site. Normally, your old data files will
work with the new version also, unless and
until there is a structural change in data
files also for the new version. But it very
seldom happens. Within last two years, I
have upgraded Vjyotish four times and my old
customers are simply downloading the newer
versions. In rare case, where up-gradation
involves the change in data file structure
also, your data files may have to be
re-processed to make them compatible for the
new version. In that case, some up-gradation
charges might be applicable.
