To
take full advantage of Vjyotish indices, it is necessary for you
to understand the basics, constitution and display components of
these indices properly. We hope that before coming to this page,
you have already gone through the page - "What
is the Vjyotish index?". If you have not gone
through that document yet, we would advise you to go
through it now.
We also hope that you are aware till now that a particular
Vjyotish index analyzes a very specific area of your life (there
are more than a hundred indices, each of them dealing
with a very specific life-aspect). It informs you of
your astrological signatures during the analyzed period, on
daily basis. The report is as unique as your finger print and is
customized
for your own birth details. The index values are very
specific to you only and are computed on the basis of the
strength and resultant influence of transit of the planets and
its effects on you during the analyzed
period.
Vjyotish compares daily index values of a index with the minimum
and maximum theoretically possible astrological values for that
particular index and shows the result, for each date, as a graph
(index), as well as, also categorize the index value as
'Excellent', 'Good', 'Fair', 'Average', 'Inadequate', 'Poor' or
'Very poor'.
For example, the minimum and maximum theoretically possible
astrological values for "Prosperity index" are -885
and +885, respectively. Say, on 1st January 2005, the value of
this index is +390 for your chart. Besides showing a green line
in the index for 1st January 2005, it will also write
"Good" for this date, in a floating box. (See
an example)
The daily values of a given index will always oscillate
somewhere between the the minimum and maximum theoretically possible astrological values.
It can not go beyond them. Thus, "zero" ('0') is considered an "optimum
value" for these indexes.
The dates
are shown on the middle (black coloured) vertical
axis while the concerned
"Month" and "Year" are written on the
upper left-hand side of the index. Operating "Vimshottari
dasa" is displayed at the bottom.
|
A
typical Vjyotish index looks like as shown below
|
|
|
The negative values for a day are drawn as 'red
horizontal bars' on the left side of this vertical
axis of the index chart representing the "zero-line"
and positive values are drawn as 'green
horizontal bars' on the right side of the
vertical axis.
Caution:
|
It must be borne in the mind that if the period
under consideration is smaller than a year (suppose it's a 30
days index), it is simply showing a magnified
"piece" of a broader picture (say for example - of
365 days index). If we draw a index for the whole year, these
maximum and minimum values (during the analyzed period) may altogether
be different in that
broader perspective. The size of "red"
or "green"
horizontal bars in the index may considerably change due to
their adjustments as per the new "maximum" and
"minimum" values with the changed duration of the
analyzed period. However, the index pattern will
remain the same because
the minimum and maximum theoretically possible astrological
values are fixed and does not change with the change in
report duration. Therefore, it is always advisable to make the whole
year's index, unless you need a magnified picture of a
particular period.
|
The
"Excellent",
"Good" or "Fair" index scores in
a report always show possibility of positive, favourable and desirable results. The
'Inadequate', 'Poor' or
'Very poor' scores indicate negative,
unfavourable and undesirable results. It means there may be
obstacles/delays and unexpected problems in that
particular area of life during the analyzed period. On and around dates, with negative scores, you need to be cautious,
should not be unduly proactive and should observe extreme prudence and
caution in that particular aspect of your life. The 'Average' scores
bring mixed results.
Remark: |
Besides
viewing computed daily Vjyotish index values as a graph
(index) for a particular (single) aspect of your
life, index values of several related life-aspects may
also be viewed simultaneously to have a bird's eye-view of astrological signatures concerning various
involved issues which must be looked into while you are seeking the divine
guidance with a specific object in your mind.
For details, please go through the "Look
and feel of Vjyotish indices" section. For
example, suppose, you are planning to enter into a major
business deal. It would be prudent to check several
other related issues, astrologically - like your bargaining power,
your power of judgment, discrimination power and
rationality, steadiness of your mind, fear of deception
and fraud in the deal, obstacles possibility and
possibility of financial gains through the proposed
deal. In this case, it would be better to view relevant
Vjyotish indices as a group. |
Interpreting
the indices for "Positive" and "Negative"
aspects of life:
Vjyotish indices may be drawn for positive
aspects of life as well as negative
life aspects, both. The constitution basics and display
pattern of all Vjyotish indices remains the same, irrespective
of the fact whether it is being drawn for a positive or negative
life aspect. However, the meaning of the indices are altogether
different in both cases. Please read the following two
paragraphs to understand the difference:
Interpretation of
indexes for positive aspects of life |
When viewing an index related to a positive aspect
(the aspect or incident you want to happen to you, like
financial gains, winning a lottery etc.), the
green
index bars indicate the possibility of happening it.
Lengthier the green bar, greater will be the
possibility of "desirable event"
taking place. The green
bars indicate that auspiciousness is greater than the
inauspiciousness, and therefore, auspicious events are more
likely to happen. The red index bars indicate that there will be
some hurdles in the incidents you wish to happen with you.
Lengthier the red index bar, greater will be the
possibility of hurdles in the happening of the
"desirable event". |
|
Interpretation of indexes for negative
aspects of life
|
When viewing an index related to a negative aspect
(the aspect or incident you don't want to happen to you, like
theft, accident etc.), the green index bars indicate the
reduced possibility of a negative event.
Lengthier the green bar, lesser will be the
possibility of "undesirable event". The green bars indicate that
auspiciousness is greater than the inauspiciousness, and
therefore, inauspicious/ undesirable events are more likely not to happen.
The red index bars indicate for
enhanced chances of the undesirable incidents.
Lengthier the red index bar, greater will be the
possibility of the happening of an
"undesirable event". You must really
take care of yourself.

Author's observations with the Vjyotish
indices:
|
The personal observations of
the author of Vjyotish with
Vjyotish indices has provided him valuable experience about
predictive behaviour and pattern of the indices. It would be useful for
you to remember the following points,
while using Vjyotish:
|
* |
Vjyotish
indices give
excellent results while finding turning points. The author's
experience shows that there are sudden turns in a particular
life-aspect when there are extreme changes in Vjyotish index
values. Watch out, specially, for extremely negative or
positive dates in it. You may get turning points of that
particular aspect of your life. (View
a real life example)
|
|
* |
Actual happenings may differ
from the index dates by one or two days.
|
|
* |
The results are more
authentic, whenever, either 'red' or 'green'
bars are shown continuously for a long patch of time. Do not
rely on the index very much, when flickering results are there
in it. Thicker and longer the "red"
or "green" patch in an
index, the greater you can rely upon it.
(View
a real life example)
|
|
* |
Some times it has been
observed that if the positive happenings fail to materialize
in the "green period" shown in
the Vjyotish index, the substantial negative happenings occur
at the end of this "green
period". It makes the previous "green period" look like
a "very good period" when seen from a substantially
negative period after a few days. Same way, the reverse of it
is also true.
