I'm
in New Zealand. My question relates to the
Zone time of the various Vjyotish indexes.
Are the Vjyotish indices had been calculated
for New Zealand Zonal Time - which is
12 hours ahead of Greenwich? ..... Scott
|
I
am presently located close to San Francisco.
Will the result dates, shown in Vjyotish
indexes, be affected by
time zone difference between Indian Standard
Time and Pacific Standard Time (or,
difference between GMT and PST). Pacific
Standard Time is 12.5 Hours behind Indian
Standard Time. Are the daily Vjyotish
results shown after considering the time
zone of my current location. ..... Rajesh

Normally, all Vjyotish indices
are calculated for 11:30
hrs. (Noon) Greenwich Mean Time [GMT]
by default,
irrespective of the fact-
where you are located, due
to certain technical reasons.
To know the exact time of Vjyotish
indices,
as per
your local time zone,
you need to add or subtract time difference
of your present time zone to GMT.
For example,
If
you are located in India, you
should consider these Vjyotish indices
calculated for 17:00 hrs. (05:00
PM) Indian Standard Time (IST) for
each date - because
Indian Standard Time is 05:30
hrs. ahead of GMT. Add this time difference of 05:30 hrs. to 11:30
hrs. GMT. However,
the date
will remain the same as shown in
Vjyotish indexes. |
[11:30
hrs. GMT + 05:30 hrs. addition = 17:00
hrs. Indian Standard Time] |
If
you are located in New Zealand, you
should consider these Vjyotish indices
calculated for 23:30 hrs. (11:30 PM) New Zealand Standard Time (NZT) for
date shown - because
New
Zealand
Standard Time is 12:00 hrs.
ahead of GMT. Add this time difference of 12:00 hrs. to 11:30
hrs. GMT. However,
the date
will remain the same as shown in
Vjyotish indexes. Please
remember to adjust Day Light Saving
Time (DST) also if it is applicable in
your area during a particular time
span. |
[11:30
hrs. GMT + 12:00 hrs. addition = 23:30
hrs. New Zealand Standard Time] |
If
you are located in San Francisco (or nearby areas where Pacific
Standard Time is applicable), you
should consider these Vjyotish indices
calculated for 04:30 hrs. (04:30 AM) Pacific Standard Time (PST) for
date shown - because
Pacific
Standard Time is 07:00 hrs.
behind GMT. Subtract this time difference of 07:00 hrs. from
11:30 hrs. GMT. However,
the date
will remain the same as shown in
Vjyotish indexes. Please
remember to adjust Day Light Saving
Time (DST) also if it is applicable in
your area during a particular time
span. |
[11:30
hrs. GMT - 07:00 hrs. deduction =
04:30 hrs. Pacific Standard Time] |
