Vjyotish runs perfectly well on most
versions of Windows. It has been tested on
Windows-95, Windows-98, Windows-ME and
Windows-XP Professional. However, it has not
been tested on Windows-2000 or Windows-NT
yet.
There is a known problem on networked
systems. If you try to install or run them
on a networked drive through remote system,
it gives error for un-resolved reason.
However, if program is accessed through the
same system, on which it is installed, it
will run.
Suppose, two (or more) computers are
networked to each other. If Vjyotish is
installed on, say, Computer-A and you are
trying to run it from another networked
computer, say computer-B, it will give
error. However, if you run Vjyotish from the
same computer, on which it is installed
(i.e. computer-A), it runs perfectly OK.
Same problem will occur if you download and
save installation file to some other system
and then try to open this installation file
from another remote networked system.
Therefore, run the installation application
also from the same system, where it is
saved.
The reason of this problem is un-resolved
yet for us. We would request you to test
Vjyotish installation on such system, which
have Windows-98, Windows-ME or Windows-XP as
OS and is a stand-alone system.
